Step 4: When the machine is finished with the carving, we do the final touch-up sanding by hand and then move on to the staining and/or painting. In this case, the client wanted the piece without stain so that they could match the finish to the piano into which this scrollwork was to be set.
Step 1: We received this image via email from the client. We were given the specific measurements, and type of wood desired. We traced the image using computer software and imported it into CAD/CAM.
Step 2: We use the imported file to create a 3D model of the desired product in our state of the art CAD software. We send a jpg image of the 3D rendering to the client for approval. Once we receive the OK we create the toolpath (carving instructions) and import that to the Computer that runs the Techno CNC machine.
Step 3: We let the machine do the work. This can take several hours depending on the intricacy of the design.

What We Do and How We Do It...

We use a state of the art CAD/CAM software package that allows us to design, model and machine high quality products and artwork from CAD drawings, photos, and 2D artwork. We have the flexibility to make one-time custom projects as well as the capacity to make multiple item production runs. We can work from your artwork or photos, you can select from our extensive design library, or we can create original designs just for you.

We use a 3-axis CNC machine that follows computer generated CAD drawings or models to carve your project accurately within thousandths of an inch. Our machine has a work area of 59 inches by 50 inches. Most projects can be done in one set of machining processes. If you require a larger job, our software enables us to machine in two stages, allowing us to complete projects as large as 4 feet by 10 feet. Whether you have a project that is only a couple of inches in size, or a large-scale sign or design, we can meet your needs.
